About

Our Purpose

We envision a world where healing is woven into the heart of social justice movements, where ancestral wisdom is honored across generations, and where communities live in reciprocity with each other and the earth—rooted in dignity, culture, and collective liberation.

At Sacred Roots, we bring this vision to life through ancestral healing, cultural wisdom, and liberatory learning. We create intergenerational spaces where elders, youth, healers, and culture workers gather to remember, practice, and carry forward the medicines of our lineages with care.

We root our work in Black, Indigenous, immigrant, and other communities of color, queer, and women/femme-identified communities—so healing is shared, accessible, and central to dignity and liberation. Through ceremony, cultural practice, and collective care, we build healing justice infrastructure that helps movements endure and liberation be lived.

Our Values

Ancestral Reciprocity & Sacred Stewardship - We honor our lineages with reverence, carrying ancestral healing traditions forward through intergenerational care and shared responsibility.
Liberatory Healing & Shared Power - We practice healing justice through shared leadership, collective care, and solidarity—building “power with,” not “power over.”
Wholeness, Interconnection & Collective Wellbeing - We nurture mind, body, and spirit through cultures of care rooted in generosity, interdependence, and relationship with the Earth.
