Join Sacred Roots healer, Lidia Ruelo-Salazar, for a free nature hike to learn about the herbs and flowers that have supported us since the beginning of time. Lidia is a queer herbalist, healing practitioner/curandera, and community organizer. Through sacred rituals and herbal remedies rooted in her indigenous Mexican heritage, she holds and facilitates a trauma-informed healing space with sacred rituals and herbal remedies for individuals and groups.
Lidia is the founder of Tierra Ritual. At Tierra Riotual, we honor the profound wisdom of our ancestors, and the transformative energy found in the four elements and the spirit of plants. We are dedicated to being a source of individual and collective empowerment. Our heartfelt mission is to inspire folks to reconnect with their ancestral plant wisdom, reclaim their health, and envision a world where justice and liberation flourishes and enhances our collective wellbeing. Our goal is to create an empowering community space and anti-oppressive environment that embraces the ancestral traditions of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities, while actively working towards collective wellness through healing justice, transformative justice, harm reduction principles, and community care.
Through the practice of Curanderismo, Ticiyotl, Western herbalism and hands-on herbal medicine making, we deepen our connection to nature, inspiring holistic well-being. Our focus on healing justice ensures that we address systemic issues and traumas, promoting healing on individual and community levels. We believe in transformative justice, seeking to create transformative change that breaks cycles of harm and promotes healing and growth. Our commitment to harm reduction principles ensures that we provide non-judgmental and compassionate support, empowering individuals to make informed wellness decisions that align with their unique needs and exercise self-determination.
